FAQ

Do you accept reservations?
Yes, we accept reservations.
Is a credit card required for reservations?
Only if the party exceeds 7 people or it is a special event, like Valentine’s day or graduation weekend.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes. We always try to keep a balance of tables open for walk ins, and to this end we limit the amount of reservations we take each night. During the week it is easier to get a walk in table, but on weekends it can be a little more difficult ,and there may be a wait.
Do you have parking?
Yes. We conveniently have a parking lot directly behind the restaurant and accessible from Roberson street.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and cash. We do not accept checks.
Do you have a kid’s menu?
No, we do not have a kid’s menu per se, but there are usually a few items on the menu that kids can choose from. We consider ourselves a kid-friendly restaurant.
Is there a dress code?
We do not have a strict dress code, but we advise you to dress how you feel comfortable. We have a climate controlled environment, usually set at 70 degrees which can be warm, cold or just right depending on your personal preferences.
What is your cell phone policy?
We prefer that cell phones are kept on vibrate inside the restaurant. If you have an important call you must take, please excuse yourself to our patio. This policy is for the comfort of our customers and to preserve the peaceful ambience of dinner.
Do you have a plate fee for outside desserts or cakes?
Yes, it is $5 per plate. We also have the ability to make a special occasion cake in house as long as we have three days notice. Call for pricing.
What if I have a food allergy?
We take food allergies very seriously and do our best to accommodate them. It is always best to let your server know any allergies you may have before you order anything. We do not necessarily list every ingredient we use in our dishes on our menu, so it is best to ask. Also, you may want to call ahead and let us know about your allergy so we are able to prepare ahead of time.
Do you serve lunch?
No, we do not. In the early days of Acme we served lunch, but we discontinued our lunch service in 2003 to better focus on our dinner preparation.
I am interested in employment. What is the best way to apply?
It is always best to call ahead and ask for a manager and set up an appointment to pick up an application or drop off a resume. We discourage applying for a job during service hours.
Do you cater?
Yes, we do! Please see our Catering page on this site for more information.
Do you rent out Acme for rehearsal dinners or private parties?
While we try to keep private rentals to a minimum to ensure consistency for our regular customers, we are happy to do several private parties per year for your special occasion. We have successfully hosted Weddings and Rehearsal Dinners. Please contact us for more information.
What days of the year are you closed?
Not many! We usually close for Fourth of July, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and dinner on Superbowl Sunday. Certain holidays like Christmas Eve are decided on a year to year basis, so if you are unsure, give us a call. We are open every year for Thanksgiving.
When do you start taking reservations for Graduation Weekend?
Graduation weekend, usually the second or third weekend in May, is by far our busiest weekend of the year. We begin taking reservations on Monday, March 4th by telephone only between the hours of 12PM – 5PM Monday through Friday. A credit card number will be required, and spaces are limited.
