July 10 -12 will be the 14th Annual Acme Tomato Festival. So, ladies and gentlemen, buckle up. It’s a weekend dedicated to our great local farmers and their oh-so-awesome tomatoes. We will feature these beauties in every color and shape and culinary guise imaginable. OK, maybe not every single one. But pretty damn close. Nearly 700 lbs of local, oh-my, delicous-ness. Yes, you read that number correctly. It’s our annual deep-fried, wide-eyed, rarified, belly-flop into summer in Carrboro. Really, is there a better time of year to put a little south in your mouth? And, yes, we’ve got posters and T-shirts galore. But you’ll have to bring your own bib. And, well, a reservation wouldn’t hurt.
