Greetings from Carrboro,
Maybe it’s a spring thing? Who knows. But for whatever reason, the holidays that mark this time of year have a definite brunch vibe. Easter, Mother’s Day, and even Father’s Day almost require some kind of celebratory daytime meal. Winter’s romantic red wine and candlelight dinners seem completely out of place. Sunshine takes center stage. As to what everyone eats, I guess we could blame the Easter Bunny. You gotta do something with all those eggs.
Starting today, Acme will start taking reservations for both Easter and Mother’s Day. Brunch and dinner. Mother’s Day has the usual hiccup that UNC’s graduation will also unfold over that weekend – so there is some auxiliary competition for reservations from the throngs of celebratory students and their families. But we’re letting all of you know before we open those floodgates.
We will be open 10am – 3pm for Easter Brunch (4/20) with Easter Dinner service beginning at 5:30pm. And on Mother’s Day (5/11), we will be open all day, 10am – 9pm. Reservations are strongly encouraged on both days. There is very limited availability for tables of more than six people (that number includes children and infants). Both reservations in our dining room and on our covered patio are available.
Also, moving forward, we are thrilled to announce that Acme will return to serving Carrboro 7-days a week. April 8th will be our first Tuesday dinner service in five years. It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long. Regardless, all of us look forward to opening our doors that night. We’d love for you to join us.
If you’d prefer to celebrate Easter at home, our Easter Dinner Feast for Two is kind of perfect. You pick up your meal on Saturday, the 19th and enjoy the meal whenever you choose. No cooking or shopping or worrying. The menu is below. The price of the meal for two is $75. You’ll have lots more time to hunt for those eggs.
Well, that’s all the news from Carrboro. The staff at Acme look forward to serving you soon.
Cheers,
The Staff at Acme
