Greetings from Carrboro,
Tick, tock. And I’m not referring to the video entertainment app you secretly watch when no one is looking. Rather, it’s time. Or, more precisely, the ever shrinking window of time between now and whenever you wholeheartedly submit to stepping off the holiday treadmill and enjoying the season. The sooner, the better is my heartfelt advice. Because there’s a litany of songs to sing loudly and, honestly, that fancy hot cocoa in the cupboard won’t drink itself. You know what I’m talking about? And don’t worry; you’re not losing it – those snickerdoodles really are waving at you coyly from the kitchen counter.
Christmas comes to Carrboro. Finally. And there’s certainly more than a few ways that Acme can help make your holiday great. Fun and delicious is what we do best.
The Acme Christmas Dinner To-Go: You still have time to let us do the cooking. It’s breakfast and dinner for the big day with all the other things you need to enjoy a delicious holiday. What could be better? Menu is below. Pick-up is this Saturday, December 24th, 11am-1pm.
On Thursday, the 22nd, we’re throwing a Swingin’ Christmas Cocktail Party at Atlas, our neighborhood bar a few doors down from Acme on Main Street. Think mid-century party snacks, the Rat Pack crooning to make the yuletide merry, and those delicious cocktails that keep you warm this time of year. The party is from 6-9pm. Bring friends or make new ones. Mink stole optional.
Leaping ahead a bit, Acme will once again be offering our traditional southern New Year’s Day Feast to guarantee you luck, wealth, and health for 2023. And, come on, who doesn’t want that? Our forever roasted pig (health), slow-cooked collard greens (wealth), and hoppin’ John (luck) are sure to make your New Year’s Day easy and delicious. Pick up is on New Year’s Eve, 12-2pm.
Last but not least, Acme gift cards are great gifts and can be delivered digitally at the touch of a button. And through the end of the year, we will add an additional $20 gift card for every $100 spent. It doesn’t get much easier than that. And if you come by the restaurant, we have perfect, small gift boxes just for the cards if you prefer giving the present in person.
So, Christmas is here. Take a deep breath; the week will go fast. It’s time to have fun.
Well, that’s all the news from Carrboro. The staff at Acme look forward to serving you soon.
Cheers,
The Staff at Acme
