I just hope that I fit in. Because my tan game is sincerely lacking. And I’m sure that I wear the all-too-wrong shoes. God, I sorta feel like a teenager about to start at a shiny-new school. And I’m like 50. But Hollywood, as you know, is not famous for being kind. So jitters, I guess, can be forgiven.

Spoiler alert: DiCaprio’s people did not reach out to my people. Spoiler alert 2: I’m not completely sure, but I don’t think that I have people. My daughters are shaking their heads vigorously and refusing to volunteer. Kids these days.

But I am going to Tinseltown! Honest to god! I’m going to be cooking up a storm and you’re invited. Thursday, July 27^that the Wanderlust Studio in Hollywood.  It’s to celebrate the launch of this great cookbook featuring me and seven other chefs from across America – Wanderlust Find Your True Fork – Journeys in Healthy, Delicious, and Ethical Eating. It’s quite something, if I do say so myself. Amazon just named it one of their books of the month for July and I’m thrilled.

So back to that part about you. This is pretty damn exciting. Two people (read: you) are going to be flown to LA with tickets to the dinner, two nights stay at The Standard Hotel in Hollywood (7/27–7/29), and two day passes to the Wanderlust Hollywood Studios. Tell me if that doesn’t sound like fun. And you’ll even know the chef. All you have to do is enter HERE by this Monday, July 17^th. Easy-freaking-peasy. 

Runners-up receive copies of the lovely cookbook that will hit bookstands next Tuesday, July 18^th. We have a copy now at the restaurant and are going to have books to sell beginning next week. They make excellent presents. Just sayin.’

So, Hollywood, here I come! Admittedly I’m going to La-La Land with an apron, but hey. It would be great if you told all your LA friends. Both of mine are a solid “maybe.” And there are rampant rumors that DiCaprio will be at the dinner. FYI, that’s just between us. So, can you help me keep that last bit on the DL?
