Greetings from Carrboro,
Certain things are just true. Tomato sandwiches are best leaning over the kitchen sink. Spaghetti sauce is better the second day. A glass of rosé is most delicious when the sun is shining – preferably in spring. And the only thing better than wine with good food is laughter. But on those days when you have both, look out.
That, in a nutshell, is why we have our Rosé Soirée every year. Combining pink wine and laughter is never a bad idea. To be honest, it’s sort of inevitable. It’s also simple; we supply the wine and you supply the friends. And then we throw in the proper provisions and a spot-on soundtrack. If that sounds like a nearly perfect Sunday, you wouldn’t be wrong.
The 8th annual Rosé Soirée. Sunday, April 28th. 3pm-6pm at Atlas. There will be seven different wines to help you scratch that I--spring, day-drinking itch. And a slew of delicious empanadas and sundry snacks – just in case you scratch a bit too hard. Tickets for the party are $38. Bring a friend – or several; it’s gonna be fun.
And on this end of the block, brunch entrees at Acme are still a mere $10 through the end of spring. And Monday Funday is also in full swing. Every entree, every Monday, $15. By far the best way to start your week.
To all of those who often call us on Fridays, we do have soft shell crabs this weekend. Huzzah! And they are delicious. But then we think everything on our menu is pretty damn good.
Well, that’s all the news from Carrboro. The staff at Acme look forward to serving you soon.
Cheers,
The Staff at Acme
