Greetings from Carrboro,
Sometimes English just doesn’t cut it. Nuance demands some other mot juste that feels – I don’t know – right. Take this Thursday, April 25th. Acme is having a righteous party with music and food and lots and, well, lots of rosé. But I can’t just call it a rosé party; the word “party” is way overused. Rosé Event? Sounds like it’s in an office building. Rosé Hoedown? Sounds awkwardly rural. A Rosé Ding-Dong? Just no. Lord, that’s wrong in so many ways.
Thank heavens for French. Because Rosé Soirée is exactly, absolutely right. It’s festive without being raucous, classy without being boring, intimate without being exclusive. And at Acme, a Rosé Soirée is also BBQ chicken sliders, mac & cheese, blue ribbon potato salad, and, the pièce de résistance, rosé royale for a sweet finale. And, yes, the quaffable versions of rosé for miles – wine and beer and sangria – with an oh-so appropriate (bangin’, if you will) soundtrack. Plus it’s all on the Acme patio – minus the tables and chairs. And – get this – it’s only $25. Spring has definitely sprung.
The Acme Rosé Soirée is back for the season. This Thursday, April 25th. Tickets can only be purchased by calling the restaurant – 919 929 2263. And there are only so many. We’ll start @ 6:30 and go until we can’t go anymore. Because, you know, soirées are like that.
Well, that’s all the news from Carrboro. The staff at Acme look forward to serving you soon.
Cheers,
The Staff at Acme
